I taught a Digi-scrap class today to a wonderful group of friends!!! It was really fun and I think it went well. One thing that they all commented on is they need a list for all the quick keys I use. So, as I write them all down I thought I would share them with anyone who stops by.
[CNTRL] J = Duplicate Layer
[CNTRL] Z= UNDO
[CNTRL] S = SAVE
[CNTRL] U= Adjust Hue and Saturation
[CNTRL] L= Adjust Levels
[CNTRL] G= Create clipping mask
[CNTRL] N= Create a new document
[CNTRL] O= Open
Those are the ones that I use most often, if I think of any more I will add them. Hope that helps!
Happy Scraping!

Hybrid Goodness
Let me tell you something about me. I love fall. Seriously... I love everything about it. I love the cool crisp air, colorful leaves, the harvesting of my garden, the canning, baking, but most of all I love the decorating! I started putting up my fall decor in my home on August 30th. Sitting in my family room with soft lights on and my fall decor around me takes me to my happy place. I look forward to doing many fun fall things this season.
Here is a little something I made for my work card exchange group. It is a little Chinese take out box that I designed using the kit Corn Maze by Melissa Bennett. i think this is by far my favorite fall kit that I have seen so far this year. I printed these boxes out at Kinkos to get the quality I wanted and then I cut them out and glued them together and filled them with my favorite treat of the season...candy corns! I finished it off with a little embellishment on top. Who wouldn't love to get one of these this time of year? I had the thought that these would be perfect place settings this Thanksgiving. I could just write their names on the from and place them by the plates. Too fun!
I hope you all are starting to feel fall in the air. Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapping on vacation...
I got a few pages done while I was on vacation last week. I still have some more that need a few finishing touches and then I will post them.
I used the kit My shining Star by theresa Borntreger and a T365 template by Haynay
This is a 2-page LO. I used the kit Giddy Up from Nitwit Collections and a template that I flipped horizontally for the mirror image effect. (template designer not known)
While I was gone I missed the chance to post the New Releases from Haynay...Here is a LO that I did with the Collab kit by Haynay and Purple Tulip called Thoroughly amused.
This is a LO I made with haynays new kit Wild Princess. It was in her SM birthday Grabbag, but if you missed it is now available here. Super cute, fun kit!!!

Hybrid Happiness
I told we that I have been up to some Hybrid stuff and I finally got the pics off the camera so I could post.
This is a gum wrapper that I made for a card exchange at my work. I put bubble gum in there. Yum! Smells good. I used Celebration Kit by GG Designs.
Cute huh! Well... I even thought that a gift card would fit inside this so perfectly for those friends that you like more than $1 worth. (don't get your hopes up friends ;)
I had so much fun making the Birthday Wrapper that I made a TEMPLATE! You got that right! You could have one of these too, and it would take maybe 15 minutes to personalize and print! This will be the first thing that I sell of my digi-scrap stuff!! Look for the paypal button coming soon, or email me and I can email you the link.
Here is another one that I made using my new template!!! I used GG Designs Trooper Kit for this one. I gave these to the scout leader in our pack that went to the Day Camp with the boys. It Says: "Thanks for all the EXTRA things you do!" And yes, I did in fact, put Extra gum inside! The possibilities are endless!
One last thing really quick... I am also in a card group with some ladies in the neighborhood and they are INCREDIBLE!! So I always feel like I have to raise that bar when I make cards for this group! Here is the one I did for this month. They always know mine will be digital somehow. This is just a simple bird on a branch that says: Hello There (my ds favorite line from the movie Up.) The bird is from Kay Miller and I can't remember what kit the branch is from (sorry). I even "chalked" the edges digitally!! Woot! Woot! I printed out the front and mounted it on some card stock, tied a ribbon, and viola! Super Cute Card!
Check back soon for the link to grab your template!!!

My Happy Life
Haynay has a new kit out today called My Happy Life... it is fun-tastic! You can go grab it here but check it out below. If you were lucky enough to get Haynays grab bag in June, then you will already have the mini kit...there is an add on in the shop too that would expand it to this fab mega kit! Don't you just love the colors in this?? Great for scrapping boys and girls!
And here is my LO. I was going for the effect that our family is the treasure at the end of the rainbow...not sure if I captured it, but I LOVE the orange...that is my color of the year!
No go snag My Happy life and start downloading!

New Look
Happy Pioneer Day to my fellow Utahn's! Hope you are enjoying the festivities today!
This blog has definitely been neglected lately. I have been doing a lot of hybrid projects that I still need to post pics of...trust me, I think they are worth the wait. I have started designing again and have a super kit that is almost finished! It needs a few more finishing touches and then you will see it here for the first time hopefully within the week!
To get ready for all these new posts I decided the blog needed a new look. What do you think? I used the Bright Blogwear by Haynay available here at Scrap Matters! It was super easy to do and SUPER cute! If you have hesitated personalizing your blog because HTML codes scare you...y a blogwear kit, they are fool-proof!
Thanks for stopping in! Look forward to some new things soon!

Shhh... Top secret
I can't believe it has been so long since I scrapped. Life has taken other turns lately.
Just thought I would share this sign that I made. A friend of mine has breast cancer and is going through chemo right now. We are all taking a turn at decorating her door while she is at her chemo treatments every 2 weeks. My friend and I have a chance to do this tomorrow and I am so excited for this opportunity to serve her in this small way. Our theme is Just Keep Swimming. We bought a kiddie pool for her boys (she has 4) and we are filling it with water toys for the boys and some special treats for her. TI should be fun, I will take some pics when we are done. I will get back to scrapping soon I hope. and be able to post some new LO!
Remember, top secret until tomorrow!

Playing Catch Up
When I printed out my scrapbook pages last week or so I realized that I was missing some big events, like Christmases and Birthdays etc. I realized that I never scrap these big events, they scare me. I want them to be so perfect, and I have so many pictures, but I don't want a ton of pages either. So, I just skip them.
This month, my goal is to get caught up. I looked through my scrapbook and I am filling in the blanks! Here is what I started with.

My first Clone!!!
I am sure you have all taken a picture and there is something in the background you wish wasn't there! I have tried so many times to use the clone tool and make it look good. It never does, I get frustrated and move on. But, check out what I did.
Here is a picture of my mom and dad on our cruise last year. My mom is so mad that I put this picture up, but, I like it and I don't have many of them together, so I needed to make it work. They are standing in front of a beautiful background, only you can't see it because there is a giant light post behind them.
Using the clone tool in photoshop I took that ugly post out so we could see the beautiful mountain and ocean behind them. I am so proud of this it is now hanging on my wall until my mom and dad provide me with a better pic ;)
What I have learned about photoshop is you just have to practice. I have been using it now for over a year and I just got this to work for me. But I LOVE it! Can't wait to clone something else now!
Happy (inter) National Scrapbook Day!!!
I have finished some LO's that I made using my new kits from Haynay. They are so fun!
This LO is using all her stuff from her NSD grab Bag. Everything is on sale this weekend, so go check it out!!
This LO is using her kit Sweet Pea!

I would definately check out the Blog Train at SM and all their kits are on sale with a super cute kit free with $15 purchase too! Start the Blog train here.

Spotlight on Me!!
I am been so busy doing I haven't had a change to tell! So, I thought I would show off a little!
First: BIG NEWS!!! I am now a Haynay Hunnie!! Yeah! I am so excited to be a part of her creative team! She has some amazing kits. Go check out here store here. She has a Grab Bag coming out tomorrow. It will be one sale. All I can say it... Well worth it!!!
Second: Here is my project I did for the SM hybrid exchange challenge. I can't wait to get everyones ideas. They are so cute. I made this composition book cover. I printed it out and modge podges it on the book and gave it to my SIL for her birthday. It turned out really cute.
Third: I have been busy planning and getting ready for the Pinewood Derby. What an adventure. It was my first, and I am sure it won't be my last. Although I am sure that the 8 yo boys did not appreciate my designs, I did. And that after all, is all that matters! Here are some things that I made for them. I used Beep Beep from Nitwit collections.

This was taped on the cars when we handed them out. (I am sure they ripped it open and didn't even notice it)
A reminder flier about the weigh ins.
I made this Candy Bar wrapper and wrapped candy bars for all the boys. I thought I would be fancy and get a variety, but they mostly picked the plain Hersheys chocolate. Note to self... just buy plain chocolate next year!
We presented every boy with an award with this certificate. They ranged from Most colorful to Best spy car. It was fun to think them all up! Their cars were amazing!
Last night I hosted a "My Favorite Things" party at my house. The idea is that I made my favorite dinner, we were supposed to watch my favorite movie, but never got to that... and we all brought a bag of out favorite little things that was valued between 10-15 dollars. Then we basically did the white elephant game and picked presents, opened them, we could have stolen them but they were all great so we didn't! It was a lot of fun. Here are some pics of what I made with the kit Just for Mom from GG designs. One is a recovered composition book and the other was a CD holder to hold the CD of my favorite songs. It turned out so Cute.

Spring Decor
I love spring (and fall) but I am ready for Spring. My tulips are growing, the air has a hint of warmth, and I have an overwhelming desire to be outside! It is spring. What better way to start off the season than with some new decor! I got this idea from the Dazzling Decor Hybrid Challenge at ScrapMatters. Here is what I came up with.
I designed each letter in a 5x7 format using Just for Mom by GG designs.
I sent the images to Costco to have them printed as 5 x 7's. Total cost $2.50
Then I went to Walmart and bought some cheap-o frames. $3 each for a total of $18.
I am so excited and love how it turned out. The best part is that I can now interchange what it says for just $2.50, and I get to have fun re-designing them! Next project S U M M E R! See how fun! Or F L A K E S! or T H A N K S [plus a cute pic] Oh, the list is endless!

Slip and Slide
Here is the only Layout I got done this week. I worked a lot more than I normally do so I didn't get the time I like to scrap. I hope to keep going and maybe, just maybe, get caught up! I loved these pics of Carter in the Slip and Slide last summer. I liked the template, but I had the hardest time finding a kit that I thought did them justice.
I love this new kit from Brittish Designs called Sunshine in My soul. I finally went with that one. I like it OK, but it may have to be re-done some day!
