Are you smarter than a Second Grader?
My niece sat down today with my sister and watched her create a new header for their family blog in PSE. Then she asked if she could try. This is the LO that she made ALL by herself with no help from anyone. It is an amazing very first LO! I don't even think my first pages are this good! Way to go Boo!
So, are you among the paper scrappers that think going digital is too hard? All I can say is, give it a chance! If a second grader can do it, so can you! She used the daily download kit going on right now at Scrapmatters.com called Girls Rock! This 8 year old sure does!
One more LO, I almost forgot I was so excited about the one above! Here is my LO that I did for the speed scrap on Wednesday night. I thought i had missed it when I got home from work, but I had left that page open on my computer so when I got home it came up and I only missed half of it and had no trouble catching up! This is my second speed Scrap, they are way funner than I thought they would be. They help me try to think out of the box and inspire creativity!

Sepia Tone Tutorial
Here is my attempt at a quick little tutorial.
Start by opening the picture you would like to convert to sepia. It is always a good idea to make a copy of the picture before you start changing it so that you can keep your original. I use [cntrl J] to make a copy. With the copy layer selected, convert it to Black and white. To do this you will click the Enhance menu at the top of your screen
With that layer selected, click on the circle above your layers pallet that is half white and half black. Select Phot Filter. See the screen shot below.
When the photo filter menu opens click on the drop down menu and select Sepia.
Then adjust the density 100%. Viola! You have a sepia photo. Save a copy of the pic and you are ready to add it to any layout!
Here is a pic I did this technique on.
To get the sepia overlay look I skipped the step to make the pic black and white. I made a copy, made that copy sepia toned, and then made that layer an overlay. I love this look! It can add so much to the right picture. Clear as mud, right?
Try this technique and let me know if you have any questions! Thanks!

Speed Scrap Confesion...
So, Here is a great time for a speed scrap! To be honest, I have never done one! I know, I am missing out. I tried one that was in the middle of the day one time and it just didn't work out. I got distracted half way through and I never went back. So, I am going to try to make this. Hope to see you there too!
