First: BIG NEWS!!! I am now a Haynay Hunnie!! Yeah! I am so excited to be a part of her creative team! She has some amazing kits. Go check out here store here. She has a Grab Bag coming out tomorrow. It will be one sale. All I can say it... Well worth it!!!
Second: Here is my project I did for the SM hybrid exchange challenge. I can't wait to get everyones ideas. They are so cute. I made this composition book cover. I printed it out and modge podges it on the book and gave it to my SIL for her birthday. It turned out really cute.
Third: I have been busy planning and getting ready for the Pinewood Derby. What an adventure. It was my first, and I am sure it won't be my last. Although I am sure that the 8 yo boys did not appreciate my designs, I did. And that after all, is all that matters! Here are some things that I made for them. I used Beep Beep from Nitwit collections.
This was taped on the cars when we handed them out. (I am sure they ripped it open and didn't even notice it)
A reminder flier about the weigh ins.
I made this Candy Bar wrapper and wrapped candy bars for all the boys. I thought I would be fancy and get a variety, but they mostly picked the plain Hersheys chocolate. Note to self... just buy plain chocolate next year!
We presented every boy with an award with this certificate. They ranged from Most colorful to Best spy car. It was fun to think them all up! Their cars were amazing!
Last night I hosted a "My Favorite Things" party at my house. The idea is that I made my favorite dinner, we were supposed to watch my favorite movie, but never got to that... and we all brought a bag of out favorite little things that was valued between 10-15 dollars. Then we basically did the white elephant game and picked presents, opened them, we could have stolen them but they were all great so we didn't! It was a lot of fun. Here are some pics of what I made with the kit Just for Mom from GG designs. One is a recovered composition book and the other was a CD holder to hold the CD of my favorite songs. It turned out so Cute.

Can I ask what font you used to make your candy bar wrapper for the "pinewood derby" words? I really like your design! It has inspired a certificate I am making for our boys.
Candace, I am glad you found it and that you like it. The font I used is actually one that I purchased. It is called CK Bugle Boy. I can't remember where I got it from, but it was a kit with about 40 fonts and I love them all. Good luck with y our derby!
