((OPINION)) POLL

I NEED a NEW Look!
So, I am not digging the look of my blog anymore! So here is the question. Should I start going seasonal, or find another great kit I love and just re-do it? Keep in mind I already have 2 blogs that I keep seasonal. Vote on my poll!

A good Hybrid Project

I posted these on my family blog and thought I would post them here too! So, if you frequent both of them, please forgive the repeat!

So last week we had a little party for our primary class. I wanted to give them something and have them do a craft. I solved both problems with this great hybrid project. I made one for each of them. I did the girls with a little embellishment, but didn't want to go overboard on the boys. Here is some examples:

If you want to make one yourself, this is what I did. I got some wood from the wood connection and designed an image in PS and had them printed at costco. ( I put 6 on a page 12X18 for $3) Then we cut them out and had the kids modge-podge them on and then mosgepodged over the picture. After they dried I stapled a ribbon to the top and tied a bow over the staple so you couldn't see it. Viola! Way cute sign for anybody!

Neglected

Well, I tried to work form home this week, which definitely has its benefits. Carter is not used to be neglected. He is usually the center of attention at all times. While I was working he found a spool of ribbon (actually 2) that I had bought at the dollar store for some presents. He entertained himself for hours with that ribbon and we eventually cut it off him and his trucks! So I made a LO using a new kit from KandyKane Creations called Funk-e. Check it out here.

Saturday Special Challenge

I tried a new technique I learned at Scrap Matters for the Saturday Special Challenge. Check it out here. This is the LO I submitted for the challenge. I love how the photo turned out, bot so hot on the LO, but it works. I am just loving learning all this new stuff from the girls at ScrapMatters! I am going to work on some hybrid cards this week. I have a card exchange on Thursday and I want to WOW them with a hybrid card. Wish me luck!

I love Templates

So I participated in the Tuesday Template Challenge at where else...Scrap Matters!! This is the LO I came up with. The best part is that is took me longer to post it to all the gallery's/forums then it took for me to finish the layout. What do you think?

What have I been doing?

Well, I am still trying to do the Card Challenge at Scrap Matters. This is what I have done most recently:
This is my Week 4 Card. The idea is to print it out and then print out the squares and the tree again and really make it pop! I used tis the season by Rebecca Lynn for this card.

I Made this card for the Week 5 challenge. ( I used it in my primary lesson today. I had each kis pick someone that served them and write them a note. They were a BIG hit!)

Here it is printed out. When I make them again I will layer it! I used the kit Stella, by SuzieBell Designs: found at Scrap MAtters!!!

Then from this card I made this invitation for our class party. easy huh! I used School Rules from Kay Miller

Another Challenge

OK, so Scrapmatters is having a card challenge. You get a template for a card every week and then you make a hybrid card with it. At the end of the challenge we will have a great set of cards to keep or giveaway. Here is my first card. I used Kay Millers Cute as a Bug kit and made the glass jar myself!! (yeah me!) I also changed one of her elements to get it to say Heard you caught a bug. this would be a great get well card for anyone who is sick. Again, I would love to give this away, but copyright! Sad :( Hope it gives you some ides! enjoy!

Priorities

If you are still looking at this blog let me say, I love you! I am still here and digi-scrapping like crazy, just not for myself. I have also found myself adjusting my priorities and designing took a back burner for a while. It was my son's birthday and our anniversary. I am hoping to get back to designing soon as well as just getting some of my scrapbook pages done. I made this recipe card for a wedding I am going to this week. I am making a cookie basket with a rolling pin, cookie sheet, cookie cutter and this recipe card. I thought I would also throw in some cream of tarter since that is not a common ingredient to have. I wish I could give this away to you for your collection, but it would infringe on the TOU of the kit. I love this kit by SuzieBelle* Designs, it is called Stella. i recently did the QP exchange with this kit. I have used it several times since then. I would recommend that you jot down this recipe, this is from my Grandma. I have never been able to make them as good as her, but they are still super yummy. Enjoy!
